Wake Circle presents the Two Oceans Medicine Ceremony, a magical day & night experience of three complimentary sacred medicine ceremonies that connect our spirit with the two iconic oceans of Cape Town.
Our day begins with a morning sweat lodge in Noordhoek, followed by a swim in the Atlantic Ocean. We move to Glencairn Beach for a healthy lunch at the exotic Blended Cafe. We travel next to Muizenburg for the afternoon ceremony: a sacred Changa (Smoked DMT) session. This is followed by our main event for the evening, the Wake Circle Ayahuasca ceremony, which carries us into the night. We sleep in the ceremony space and wake up the next morning to close the journey with body integration, breath work, and Sananga. The experience is sealed with a refreshing morning swim in the Indian Ocean as we begin the new day.
These three powerful complementary medicines ceremonies have been specifically curated together to give you a fully immersive and transformative day and night experience while at the same time taking in the beauty of Cape Town’s South Penisula. Your Sunday is then open to rest, ground, and reflect on your process before embarking on your new week. This is a perfect opportunity for visitors to Cape Town wanting to experience sightseeing, inner healing, and transformation all in one day.
The confluence of the warm Indian Ocean and the cold Atlantic Ocean gives the South Peninsula a unique and wonderous healing energy. As we connect to both these oceans through sacred medicine we welcome the beauty and harmonic dance of nature’s contrasts that is within and all around us.
The Two Oceans Medicine Journey is one package but each ceremony can also be joined individually at separate costs, please see our ceremony events page.

Your Facilitators for the Journey
Simone Beckerling (Moni) is a legendary medicine woman and an experienced voyager of sacred plants who has joined Wake Circle bringing with her a wealth of facilitation experience. Her journey began in 2002, climbing the mountains of Peru with a shaman, and travelling to Mapia, the heart of ayahuasca in Brazil. She has since walked an extraordinary path with the Santo Diame community. With her diverse experience of teacher plants and the purification of the sweat lodge and vision quest practice, she is able to co-create the synergy necessary to evoke the deep healing and holding the plants offer. Her firm belief is that with the necessary holding the light can enter where wounds can truly heal: ‘Aha Mitakuyasin, to all our relations, may we urgently heal so that compassion can arise everywhere for the sake of this planet and all sentient beings.’
Mangaliso Ntekiso stands at the forefront of bridging the ancient and the contemporary, weaving the rich tapestry of isiNtu principles into the fabric of modern healing practices. As a devoted cultural and heritage practitioner with over a decade of deep-rooted engagement in the art of indigenous healing, Mangaliso embodies the essence of a Sangoma, guiding souls through the journey of self-discovery and healing. In his sacred role, Mangaliso leads transformative retreats and facilitates cross-cultural discussions that not only enlighten but also heal, utilizing the timeless wisdom of isiNtu. His work is a testament to the power of traditional knowledge in addressing the spiritual and emotional ailments of the modern world.
